Greetings Missoula! My name is Katharine Roggeveen, and I am a student in the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Program of the Nutritional Therapy Association. In these times when things are out of our control and uncertain, feelings of powerlessness and anxiety can seep into our everyday lives. We crave the feelings of safety, normalcy, certainty, and some sense of predictability. Fear, anxiety, and restlessness can make us feel detached and disconnected; ungrounded if you like.

I’d like to encourage you to explore this time as an opportunity to slow down, reevaluate, and remember what is truly important in your life. This is an opportunity to find grounding, peace, and comfort by focusing on the things that you CAN do, right now, to support yourself and your loved ones. This is an opportunity to support the foundations of health.

My intention is not just to provide support that will serve you in the present moment, but to impart information and actionable steps that you can use to empower yourself to take your health into your own hands at all times. In the weeks to come, I’ll be working with True Food Missoula to share information about the foundations of health, and how supporting the foundations is critical to experiencing optimal health and wellness. I’ll also be providing nutritional highlights on True Food’s weekly meal offerings, food-first approaches to nutrient dense immune system support & foundational wellness, and some small and actionable steps you can incorporate into your everyday lives to bring you closer to your best health.

Be well,

Katharine
